Our Skills Development Programmes
Our Skills Development Programmes
We invest in the sustainable transformation of our community and have a range of custom-made programmes that contribute towards empowering and developing the skills of the youth of the Royal Bafokeng Nation and broader South Africa.
The RBH Internship Programme
The RBH internship programme was launched in 2010 with the aim of recruiting and placing graduates who have successfully completed their tertiary qualifications across various study disciplines. The programme offers the graduates an opportunity to gain workplace experience.
RBH Learnership Programme
RBH Chartered Accountant Training Programme
In 2017, RBH received accreditation from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) as a training institution. The Chartered Accountancy training programme is structured to develop well-rounded finance professionals and involve them in a three-year rotation plan which exposes trainees to various business units within the Royal Bafokeng Group. The programme is aligned to RBH’s transformation strategy, which is to position youth and graduates for employment opportunities. It further promotes education, training and the retention of key accounting professionals within RBH.
Thutopele learnership
The programme is designed to afford learning opportunities to grade 12 learners that come from disadvantaged backgrounds and have limited or no funds to further their studies.
Chartered Secretaries learnership
Through the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa, RBH enrols qualifying learners in a three-year qualification programme from (NQF 5 to NQF 7) while obtaining practical work experience. Learners are placed at a host company for practical work experience.
Our Bursaries
RBH CA Bursary
RBH launched its first Chartered Accountancy (CA) Bursary Programme in 2020 with the aim to assist the youth of the Royal Bafokeng Nation (RBN) to develop skills that will contribute to the country’s economy, while building a skills pipeline to feed in the RBH Chartered Accountancy trainee programme over time.
RBH has adopted a skills pipeline approach to create a pool of skills that are aligned to the core mandate of RBH. It is through this deliberate approach that the qualified candidate will ultimately feed into the RBH CA training Programme. While the bursary programme is structured as a ticket to aspiring Chartered Accountant students to achieve their dreams and to develop skills of the Bafokeng youth, RBH recognises it as an important contributor to economic participation for the future of the RBN.
RBH General Bursary
RBH launched the bursary programme to help the youth of the RBN achieve their dreams and develop skills for the future economic contribution of the RBN and our country. The bursary aims to fund all degrees with preference given to Investment related degrees. Both bursaries are awarded to students from disadvantaged background with strong academic record.
